It's purpose is to give us background and how, where, and when is the Philippine Literature made. It allows us to know it's origin.
2. Analyze the structure of the passage by identifying all the main ideas
The work of Frank R. Blake's, Philippine Literature are quite impressive due to how the flow of each paragraph may be or similarly to how out literature slowly develops from the beginning up to the recent century.
We could differentiate the following statement and break it down into 4 parts which each part indicates the origin of our languages, the colonization of spain and the birth of christianity, Introduction of the theme comedias and work of some filipino writers, then we have the influence of America's theatre play, and lastly, the publish of newspapers and the new translated bible.
The arrangements of each statement are neat and understandable, In addition for it's accurate historic information whereas it begins from the pre-colonial period to the colonial period.

Yes, It was distinctly presented - Gave us pieces of evidence. Stating the languages at the beginning of Moro manuscripts, also in Arabic books with the phrase of bismi 'IIdhi 'rrahmdni 'rrahimi, " in the name of God, the compassionate - the merciful". Adding citations, like dates of published to the paper to make it coherence is evident.
4. How is the Philippine Literature presented by the author?
The author introduced it using shreds of evidences to present the Philippine Literature. Moreover, It was uncomplicated and well-built. To illustrate, The author stated about the number of works that are published in various languages of the Christian tribe down to 1903, and it is according to the best bibliographies in 1898 and 1903 accordingly. 5. Discuss the significant developements in the history of Philippine Literature from Pre-colonial to colonial periods according to Blake.
By perceiving the way of the developement of our literature, from the pre colonial period which our language had been derived by the islands that has naturally fallen into three pieces. The reason why our country has different languages and still our nationality is one. Moreover the pre-colonial period wrote themed plays like comedies, theatre plays, and romance make a huge impact on the communication skills of eachother, also helps us in evolving our culture and traditions.
